What is the SAT test?
It is an international, American, global, university admission test, recognized in most countries of the world and conducted by an American non-profit organization called “College Board”. The test helps students enter strong and distinguished Turkish universities when they wish to enroll in a bachelor’s degree, or complete their studies at Turkish universities. The purpose of this test is to determine the extent to which the student can apply the information he has to solve the problems presented to him in this test.
What are the types of SAT test?
First: SAT 1
Second: SAT 2 is required in very few universities in Turkey
- The SAT1 test is required in Turkish universities. Several Turkish government universities require it as a basic condition for the competition for international students applying. The SAT test includes three basic subjects and one optional subject, which is the essay subject and the rest (mathematics, writing, reading)
What are the sections of the SAT test (SAT1)?
Writing Section:
It depends on reading short texts and answering multiple choice questions and grammar questions in the English language. A section that depends on spelling errors, grammar, verbs and tenses.
The secret in this section is that the student studies all the grammatical rules and applies them in various articles and topics and solves intensive exercises. You are considered to have mastered the solution and study of the writing section because this section depends on the rules and knowledge of them.
The test takes 35 minutes and the number of questions is 44 questions.
Reading Section:
This section depends mainly on reading short texts from literary novels, human and social sciences and natural sciences. These are strange and difficult vocabulary that most of us have not come across. Therefore, no matter how educated and proficient we are in the language, we will face great difficulty in doing so because it is not our mother tongue.
But overcoming this problem is not difficult. You have to prepare for this section by memorizing the most frequently repeated words of the SAT.
I will put a link to the most frequently repeated words at the bottom of the article, and you must rely on reading speed and smart thinking while reading.
The duration of the reading test in the SAT is 6 minutes and the number of questions is 52 questions.
Mathematics section:
The mathematics section relies mainly on the mathematics information that was studied in all previous educational stages. The majority considers it somewhat easy and the secret to the solution depends on the laws of mathematics, speed of thinking and intelligence. You will find many questions in statistics, algebra and geometry.
The duration of the mathematics section test in the SAT is 80 minutes and the number of questions is 58 questions.
Essay writing section:
As we mentioned, it is an optional section and requires the ability to write literary articles on any topic.
It is given by the exam administration, and the test takes about 50 minutes to write the essay.
-The test is conducted six times each year.
The test fee is $ 40 and for the essay test it is $ 14.
How can I prepare for the SAT test and are there books to study?
